Cricket Betting Guide for Bangladesh: Odds, Markets and Exchange

Reading decimal odds

Odds show your total return per taka staked. A ৳100 bet at 1.80 returns ৳180: your ৳100 back plus ৳80 profit. Lower odds mean the result is more likely; higher odds pay more but happen less often.

The main markets

• Match odds: who wins the match (and the draw in Tests).
• Sessions (fancy): runs in a set number of overs, such as the powerplay, against a yes/no line.
• Over / under: total runs, fours or sixes above or below a line.
• Player markets: top batter, top bowler, a batter to score 50.
• Specials: toss winner, method of next dismissal and more.

Bookmaker vs exchange

With a bookmaker market you bet at the odds offered. On an exchange you bet against other players: back a result to happen or lay it not to happen. Because exchange odds move ball by ball, you can also back early and lay later to secure a result before the match ends.

Betting in-play

Most cricket bets are placed while the match is on. Odds react to every wicket and boundary; watch the live score next to the markets, and remember that markets can suspend for a few seconds around big moments such as reviews.
